Surreal landscape of the Los Angeles River and and downtown LA. At the center of this piece is the Our Lady of San Juan de Lagos, (a Roman Catholic title of the Blessed Virgin Mary venerated by Mexican and Texan faithful) overlooking the Los Angeles River in South Gate, California. Art work was inspired by a failed bike ride to Long Beach from downtown Los Angeles.
Materials used were synthetic hair, thread, pencil, pen, marker, tempera, coffee and photocopy transfers on paper on a wood panel. Art work is 24 inches x 24 inches (60.96 cm x 60.96 cm).
